Tatiana: A Modeling Portfolio

I often ask my clients to do weird things. I mean, nothing too strange, mind you... But still, things that normally raise a few eyebrows and elicit somewhat bemused responses like, "Um, you want me to do what?"

But when I asked Tatiana to run down the dock with her arms waving frantically in the air, she just glanced at me with a complete look of understanding and replied, "Oh, you mean like Phoebe from Friends?"

And right then and there, I melted a little bit in inside. Because, yes. That's exactly what I meant.

Tatiana oozes positive energy. She has a glow, and it's more than evident in the following pictures. But watch out... Her smile - gorgeous as it is - is completely contagious. In fact, I laughed and smiled so much during our shoot that, afterwards, my cheeks hurt.

Yes. That's how much fun I had.

When not gracing the camera with her gorgeousness, Tatiana studies fashion design at the New York Fashion Academy. She's got style - an enormous amount of style. And after our shoot yesterday, I think it's fair to say that - whether on the runway or behind the scenes - Tatiana is going to go far.

Because, after all, that's what happens when you follow your bliss... And Tatiana is definitely following hers. :)

I Appreciate: Cooler Temperatures

I could never live down south. Where it's hot. All year long.

I love the cold. Give me a slight chill in the air any day. A crisp breeze or a biting wind - I don't care. I just like things... Cool.

The last few days have been scorchers out here in the Pacific Northwest. Record breaking highs in the ninties. (The 90s!) Obviously, that's a little - okay a lot - hotter than I usually prefer. In fact, during Emily's shoot last Friday, I felt a little too much like a hog roasting over an open pit. Seriously. No joke. (Thankfully, Emily was gracious enough to not comment on the fact that her photographer was sweating like a greased swine.)

Today, things have cooled down. Immensely. Today's high is expected to be around 71 degrees. That's it. A beautiful, glorious, blissfully cool day. And earlier this morning, while Dehlia and I were puttering around outside, I even felt a crisp breeze blow through my hair. Heavenly.

So today I appreciate cooler temperatures. Much cooler temperatures.

Oh, and pretty boats. Yeah, I appreciate those, too.

Okay, okay. I usually don't post this many "sneak peeks", but I ran across this photo and couldn't resist... And the main reason is, it's completely, totally, and 100% unedited. (No touch ups!) This is Emily - straight out of the camera and rockin' her natural beauty. Isn't she gorgeous?
